“Global Report on Trafficking in Persons” was launched last week by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. According to the Report, the most common form of human trafficking (79%) is sexual exploitation. The second most common form of human trafficking is forced labour (18%), and almost 20% of all trafficking victims are children.

Wiadomo jedynie, że jej gehenna trwała około 40 dni.Z relacji 23-latki wynika, że odyseję rozpoczęła od poznania białego mężczyzny, który zaproponował jej załatwienie “dochodowej pracy w Europie”. “Wcześniej sprzedawała owoce na ulicach Kampali, stolicy Ugandy. Mężczyzna skusił ją wizją dostatnego życia” – opowiada rzecznik nadwiślańskiej Straży Granicznej Agnieszka Golias.
Najprawdopodobniej kobiecie obiecywano pracę sprzątaczki – dziesięciokrotność przeciętnej pensji mieszkańca Ugandy.
Dalsza opowieść jest chaotyczna: wiadomo, że Afrykanka tylko raz leciała samolotem. Nie wiadomo skąd i dokąd. Znaczną część podróży, najprawdopodobniej przez kilka granic pokonała w samochodzie białego opiekuna. “Była bita, gwałcona i odurzana narkotykami. Zabrano jej dokumenty” – opowiada Golias. Udało jej się uciec dopiero, gdy wiozący ją mężczyzna zatrzymał się w centrum Warszawy. Wykorzystała chwilę jego nieuwagi i ukryła się w przejściach pod Dworcem Centralnym.
“Było to w nocy z czwartku na piątek. O świcie, gdy na ulicach pojawili się ludzie, udało jej się zaczepić kogoś znającego angielski. Przechodzeń skierował ją prosto do naszej siedziby. Pojawiła się u nas w piątek około godz. 10” – wyjaśnia Golias.
“Badamy, czy nie doszło do przypadku handlu żywym towarem. Z wyjaśnień kobiety wynika, że miała trafić do domu publicznego” – opowiada oskarżyciel z mokotowskiej prokuratury.
Ugandyjką zajmuje się teraz fundacja La Strada, która wspólnie z resortem spraw wewnętrznych prowadzi program ochrony ofiar handlu ludźmi. Miejsce pobytu kobiety jest utrzymywane w ścisłej tajemnicy.
Policja zwraca uwagę, że Polska coraz częściej leży na trasie przerzutu kobiet z Afryki.
“Handel ludźmi to dochodowa gałąź przestępczości. Czarnoskóre kobiety trafiają do agencji, gdzie otrzymują jedynie jedzenie i dach nad głową. Cały zysk wędruje do kieszeni sutenerów” – komentuje oficer biura kryminalnego w Komendzie Głównej Policji.
Ale jest też druga strona medalu: Polska coraz częściej staje się krajem docelowym dla “żywego towaru”, choć jeszcze niedawno była jedynie przystankiem w trasie do agencji na zachodzie Europy.
Z danych Prokuratury Krajowej wynika, że od 1995 r. w Polsce aż 2885 osób usłyszało zarzut handlu ludźmi.

News from today: FBI arrested 389 people involved in human trafficking and prostitution, after raids in 16 cities across the country. According to CNN, those involved in child trafficking are facing federal charges, which might end up in life sentences.
Innocence Lost National Initiative, till today rescued more than 400 kids and led to persecution of 308 persons. Last week they held the largest operation since 2005.
Finally someone is being serious about it. I wonder how many of the victims were from abroad.

According to BBC NEWS, a 92 old man did not receive permission to marry 17 year old girl, because the gap between the spouses must be no bigger than 25 years. Like always, there is a loophole. If you are foreigner, and want to marry someone who is more then 25 years younger then you, just pay $8,000, on her account in the bank, and she is yours. Last year there was 173 happy Egyptian, young and rich brides taken to God knows where…
If this is not legalizing human trafficking, what is it? It is a fact, that poor rural families will “sell” their young daughters to whoever wants to pay. And with the Muslim societies obsessed with virginity, men will pay a lot of money… unfortunately.

So we all know that St. Patrick was a man from the 4th/5th century, was kidnapped by Irish and brought to Ireland as a 16 year old boy. He was sold to slavery and for the next 6 years had to tend to the flocks on the hills of Slemish for a master who was a druidical high priest.
Later on in his life he wrote Confessio. This is what he says:
” the love of God, and His fear increased in me more and more, and the faith grew in me, and the spirit was roused, so that, in a single day, I have said as many as a hundred prayers, and in the night nearly the same, so that whilst in the woods and on the mountain, even before the dawn, I was roused to prayer and felt no hurt from it, whether there was snow or ice or rain; nor was there any slothfulness in me, such as I see now, because the spirit was then fervent within me.”
That reminds me of Daniel. That sounds like David too. Similar story.
I think Patrick at least heard of Daniel. Patrick’s parents were Christians, his mother was a close relative of St. Martin of Tours.
Imagine being about 16 and kidnapped, taken to a hostile land, sold, owned by someone. Imagine working for nothing for a guy who has some powerful connections with spiritual forces hovering around the region. Imagine. So why did he turn to prayer ? Why would such a young and troubled soul resolve that this was the only way to survive? Did he hear of Daniel from his parents? Did he remember the stories he was told of him?
Anyway, Patrick prayed a lot. Like Daniel. Did he pray out of fear? Desperation? I wonder why he started in the first place. Was it because the druids were so dedicated and powerful in Ireland and he encountered a hostile spiritual world fighting against him? Was it because he felt lonely, lost and forgotten and this was the only way to feel something familiar?
Below is the prayer he wrote much later in his life. It is known as “Breast plate“. I love this prayer. It is a pearl.

The princess among the provinces has become a slave! She weeps bitterly in the night. Her tears are on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has none to comfort her all her friends have dealt treacherously with her; they have become her enemies.
The trafficking of human beings is the recruitment, transportation, harboring, or receipt of people for the purpose of exploitation. It is estimated to be a $31 billion-a-year industry. Trafficked victims are typically recruited by using correction, deception, fraud, the abuse of power, or outright abduction. Threats, violence, and economic leverage can often make a victim consent to exploitation.
Exploitation includes forcing people into prostitution or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labor or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs. For children exploitation may also include forced prostitution, illicit international adoption, trafficking for early marriage, or recruitment as child soldiers, beggars, sports, or for religious cults.
The child sex trade, like all trades, exists not because there is poverty but because there is demand and supply. The demand for sex comes from adults, overwhelmingly men. The supply is that of children, in particular their bodies and sexual parts. The goods taken and destroyed however are much more than children’s bodies, but also their minds, their hearts, their spirits, their hopes, their futures and frequently their lives. The sex trade industry is the natural bi-product of a generation fed by pornography from a young age.
Men are now demanding that their sexual fantasies be fulfilled and opening the doorway for the spirit of perversion to break out among the nations. This demand is coming at the cost of the utter destruction of human life. Viewing pornography is participation with a spirit that is enslaving our woman and children, and will ultimately usher in the judgment of God upon the nations.
Jesus’ indictment against the Church of Thyatira was there “toleration” of Jezebel. We need to have a “no tolerance” policy for this spirit in our own personal lives. That means for us men if we are struggling with pornography we smash our computers. This is equivalent to the tearing down of idols in Old Testament times. We need to be violent about cutting off this spirit. Spiritual violence also includes guarding our eyes and our thoughts in every capacity.
We are living in a time when the world is being drowned in a spirit of lust. We need the highest levels of accountability. This is an Elijah/Joshua moment when we must choose whom we will serve.

* There are currently 27-30 million individuals in slavery today, 70-75% of who are sex slaves.
*Sex trafficking is one of the fastest growing enterprises in the world – it is a multibillion-dollar business.
The call to 3 day fast is inspired by Robert and Anita Craig, former IHOP-KC leaders, who are presently in a transitional stage of preparation to be deployed into Cambodia.

Relying on research from the CIA, the State Department estimates there are at least 50,000 human trafficking victims brought into the United States each year. The US is among the top three destination countries for sex traffickers, along with Japan and Australia.

Handel ludzmi to nazwa przestępczego procederu, będącego współczesną formą niewolnictwa. Pod tym pojęciem rozumiano początkowo wyłącznie handel kobietami zmuszanymi do prostytucji (męskie ofiary wykorzystywane seksualnie to zjawisko niezwykle rzadkie). Pozostałe czyny karalne, których dopuszczają się agresorzy wobec ofiar to naruszenia prawa pracy i prawa ubezpieczeń społecznych, zwłaszcza wobec cudzoziemców.

Polska stanowi wazny europejski ośrodek dla handlarzy zywym towarem – pisze dziennik “Polska”. Kazdego roku przez nasz kraj przerzucają az 15 tysięcy osób.
Najnowszy rządowy raport o handlu ludzmi alarmuje: zjawisko jest nie do opanowania- czytamy w gazecie. Według najnowszych danych MSWiA, do których dotarła “Polska”, w ostatnich dziesięciu latach stwierdzono ledwie ponad 1800 przypadków handlu ludzmi. Ale te dane dalece odbiegają od prawdy. Według ONZ, szacunkowa liczba ofiar handlu ludzmi wynosi w naszym kraju ponad 15 tysięcy rocznie.
Ofiary często nie wiedzą, gdzie szukać pomocy, a nawet jeśli juz trafią na policję czy do prokuratury, to i tak nie mogą liczyć na wsparcie. Sprawy toczą się bardzo powoli, az w końcu są umarzane. Tymczasem handlarze są świetnie zorganizowani: mają broń, pieniądze i prawników.
Od 2002 do 2006 roku przydzielono ochronę tylko 16 ofiarom handlu zywym towarem; w ciągu ostatnich dwóch lat taki przypadek nie zdarzył się ani razu. Efekt jest taki, ze od 1995 roku udało się skazać ledwie 200 handlarzy- czytamy w “Polsce”.
